The classic 1953 movie From Here to Eternity is set in the Army’s Schofield Barracks on the island of Oahu in the months leading up to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Ernest Borgnine (pictured above) plays one of the movie’s main chracters, Fatso Judson, the sadisitic Sergeant of the Guard at the post stockade.
