Yesterday I banged out a quick piece about the United States’ proxy war against Russia in Ukraine and fired it off to my friends at The American Spectator. I soon received a call from one of the editors explaining that the AmSpec couldn’t use the piece because it ran counter to their pro-Ukraine, anti-Putin position on the war. He also noted that the article was based on anonymous sources cited by investigative journalist Seymour Hersh who formerly worked for the New York Times.
