Wikipedia provides this introduction to Michael Moore: Michael Francis Moore (born April 23, 1954) is an American film director, producer, screenwriter, and author. Moore’s work frequently addresses various social, political, and economic topics. He first became publicly known for his award-winning debut documentary Roger & Me, a scathing look at the downfall of the automotive industry in 1980s Flint and Detroit. Moore followed up and won the 2002 Academy Award for Best Documentary Featurefor Bowling for Columbine, which examines the causes of the Columbine High School massacre and the overall gun culture in the United States. He directed and produced Fahrenheit 9/11, a critical look at the early presidency of George W. […]
The Hidden Vote
Here is my article that was published yesterday by The American Spectator. The Hidden Vote George Parry Former President Donald Trump is slightly ahead in the polls and, as in 2016 and 2020, he is drawing massive crowds at his rallies. Some knowledgeable observers have even speculated that Trump could be on the verge of a landslide electoral college victory. But, while our attention is being drawn to the polls, the campaigning, and the strategies of the presidential candidates, what about the taxpayer-funded electoral apparatus that has been created over the past four years by the Biden-Harris regime? I’m talking about […]
Kamala’s Media Bodyguards
Below is my article which The American Spectator published yesterday. Kamala’s Media Bodyguards – The American Spectator | USA News and PoliticsThe American Spectator | USA News and Politics “Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.”― George Orwell, 1984 If synchronized tongue bathing was an Olympic event, the lickspittles of the corporate media […]
Yesterday The American Spectator published my article regarding the corporate media’s unfolding comedy act in which they are pretending to be surprised that for quite some time President Biden has been a drooling vegetable. The article marks my return to writing after a protracted hiatus during which I cared for my wife as she suffered through seven hospitalizations and seven rehabilitations in nine months. Thankfully, even though Natalie is not fully recovered, she is now well enough that I have sufficient free time to do a bit of writing. So here’s the article. Hope you enjoy it. They’re Only Following […]
Where I’ve Been
In November 2023, my wife and I contracted Covid. Although we quickly recovered, Natalie was subsequently hospitalized seven times for intractable nausea, misdiagnosed Parkinson’s disease and, in March of this year, stroke. Her doctors have speculated that some or all of these maladies may be Covid related. In any event, following each hospitalization, she was severely debilitated and required extensive physical and occupational therapy as well as round the clock nursing care. With the exception of three weeks at a nearby nursing facility following her stroke, her care and rehabilitation have been at home. In short, since November 2023, I […]
56 Years Ago Today
Pictured above are my bride and me on the way to our wedding reception. The date was December 30, 1967. The place: Providence, Rhode Island. We were 23 years old and without a care in the world. I was half way through Georgetown Law and didn’t have a penny to my name. But we had a plan. Natalie was a psych nurse working on a locked ward at the Washington Hospital Center making $4800 a year. We figured that we had it made. And, looking back, we really did. That was the beginning of our life together that has been […]
Chicago’s Morning Answer
As you may be aware, my wife and I are recovering from Covid. Unfortunately my wife was hospitalized twice and is suffering the effects of that experience. She is undergoing rehab at home and receives regular visits from a visiting nurse, a physical and occupational therapist and a home health aide. In between these visits, I am her private duty nurse. Her recovery is proceeding very slowly, but thankfully she is making progress albeit in small – almost microscopic – increments. Today I was privileged to appear on Chicago’s Morning Answer AM560 with hosts Dan Proft and Amy Jacobson. The […]
Covid 2023
Three weeks ago my wife and I spent the weekend with old friends in New York City. We had a wonderful time but came home feeling tired and very weak. Then we developed severe flu like symptoms. We tested positive for Covid and started on medication to prevent the disease from getting worse. Unfortunately the medication did not work as planned for my wife. She has been hospitalized for the past eight days. With luck she will be discharged tomorrow to a care facility. How long she will be there is unknown. I’m slowly getting better but am still weak […]
Biden’s Invasion
Yesterday The American Spectator published my article about the national security crisis created by the Biden regime’s open border policy. WARNING: the article is a very alarming, depressing and fact-based estimate of the situation. Here it is. Joe Biden and the Coming Domestic Martyrdom Operations – The American Spectator “It is perhaps obvious to state that terrorists cannot plan and carry out attacks in the United States if they are unable to enter the country. Yet prior to September 11, while there were efforts to enhance border security, no agency of the U.S. government thought of border security as a […]
Today I had the privilege of appearing on AM560 Chicago’s Morning Answer with hosts Amy Jacobson and Dan Proft. We covered a number of topics ranging from Donald Trump’s judicial gag orders to the death of George Floyd. You can hear most of the interview by clicking on this link. Unfortunately, for reasons unknown, the audio feed abruptly ends while we were talking about the Floyd case.
Ever since the start of the Ukraine war, I have been a fan of the analytical commentary of retired Army Colonel Douglas MacGregor. During the Gulf War, he led our forces to victory over the Iraqi Republican Guard in the largest tank engagement since World War II at the Battle of 73 Easting. But, in addition to being a decorated combat veteran, he taught history at his alma mater, West Point, and served as an advisor to the Secretary of Defense in the Trump Administration. He is the founder and head of “Our Country Our Choice” whose website is linked […]
What Killed George Floyd?
Followers of this blog may recall that over the years I have written extensively about the death of George Floyd and the shameful legal lynching of the police officers who were convicted of killing him. Recently Tucker Carlson joined those of us who have challenged the official narrative regarding the death of George Floyd. He correctly noted that the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s report indicated a massive overdose of fentanyl in Floyd’s system as well as no sign of injury to his neck or signs that his airways had been compressed or obstructed. While Carlson’s observations are correct and consistent […]
Gagging Trump
Last week my wife and I took a road trip to Washington to attend The American Spectator‘s annual gala. The AmSpec very generously paid for our stay at Washington’s Waldorf Astoria (formerly the Trump International Hotel). Our first night in town, we had dinner at the 1789 Restaurant with old friends from our undergraduate days at Georgetown. My friend Larry and I started working at the 1789 when it first opened in 1962, and we always make it a point to gather there whenever possible. In the 1960s, the drinking age for beer and wine in Washington was 18. As […]
This is a follow-up to yesterday’s post about Tigre Hill’s excellent docuseries 72 Seconds in Rittenhouse Square. At the time Sean Schellenger was killed, I was a regular contributor to The Philadelphia Inquirer. This was before the Inky went woke. Back then I wrote repeated Inky op-eds criticizing District Attorney Larry Krasner’s atrocious mistreatment of crime victims and their families. One of my Inky pieces discussed Krasner’s mishandling of the Schellenger homicide and his abuse of the victim’s mother, Linda Schellenger. I republished that piece on this blog back in 2019 and linked it to Linda’s article in the Inky […]
On July 12, 2018, Philadelphia real estate developer Sean Schellenger was stabbed to death by Michael White in Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse Square. The dead man was white, and his assailant was black. Immediately following the killing, White was charged with first degree murder. But over time, Larry Krasner, Philadelphia’s progressive district attorney, incrementally reduced the charge to voluntary manslaughter. And, following a listless courtroom presentation by Krasner’s office, a jury acquitted the defendant on the manslaughter charge, but found him guilty of tampering with evidence (based on his attempt to dispose of the bloody knife). Needless to say, the case and […]
