Yesterday The American Spectator published my analysis of the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis. Here it is. The Death of Renee Nicole Good: Why the Democrats Will Fail Step Three in the George Floyd Script | The American Spectator | USA News and Politics Over its entire four years, the Biden regime imported millions of illegal aliens and gave them generous government benefits with the unstated but obvious purpose of building a bought-and-paid-for political super majority that would guarantee a permanent Democrat-controlled electoral dominance. It was intended to be the capstone of Barack […]
Thanksgiving 2025
As it has done every Thanksgiving since 1961, the Wall Street Journal has published The Desolate Wilderness, an account of the Pilgrims’ journey to America, followed by a commentary, And the Fair Land, written by Vermont Royster, a native of North Carolina who held many positions at the the WSJ including being its editor from 1959 to 1971. Royster started the WSJ’s annual tradition of publishing both pieces on Thanksgiving. Unlike the J-school know-nothings who infest today’s media, Royster had a life outside the confines of journalism that gave him an appreciation of this nation, its forbears and its accomplishments. In 1940, he left the WSJ to join the U.S. Navy. During […]

WWID? What Would Ike Do?
Fifty-eight years. In December it will be fifty-eight years since my wife and I got married. For the last three of those years, we have been primarily engaged in dealing with her rapidly multiplying health issues. This has required seemingly endless hospitalizations, stays in rehab facilities, consultations with a platoon of physicians, home healthcare, and in-home physical and occupational therapy. Through it all I have been her round the clock private duty nurse. This has left virtually no time to write or to publish this blog. On September 2, 2025, The American Spectator published the below article. The next day, […]

My recent article about President Trump’s near assassination during his campaign rally at the Butler Farm Show grounds continues to draw media attention. Last Friday, Chris Krok of AM560 Chicago’s Morning Answer interviewed me about the article. Here’s video of that interview.

Two weeks ago was the anniversary of the attempt to assassinate Donald Trump during his campaign rally at the Butler Farm Show grounds. To mark the occasion, I submitted an article to The American Spectator regarding the Secret Service’s poor and slipshod performance that day. When I submit an article, the editors at TAS usually respond right away. But this time was different. Although an editor immediately began reviewing the submission, I heard nothing more for days. The anniversary – and the attendant potential public interest – came and went as my article remained unpublished, and I heard nothing back […]

Here’s my latest published last week in The American Spectator. The Wages of COVID — Part Three | The American Spectator | USA News and Politics In February 1976, 19-year-old U.S. Army Pvt. David Lewis died at Fort Dix, New Jersey, from a respiratory illness. Testing revealed infection with a novel influenza strain similar to the 1918 Spanish flu, which had killed millions. Thirteen other recruits were infected, but none of them died. The strain, designated as “swine flu” due to its similarity to a virus found in pigs, raised fears of a 1918-like pandemic. The Centers for Disease […]

Here’s the second installment in my series on the COVID vaccines which appeared last week in The American Spectator. The Wages of COVID — Part Two » The American Spectator | USA News and Politics “Every human being of adult years and sound mind has a right to determine what shall be done with his own body; and a surgeon who performs an operation without his patient’s consent commits an assault for which he is liable in damages.” — Judge Benjamin Cardozo, Schloendorff v. Society of New York Hospital (1914) In the immediate aftermath of World War II, the Allied forces […]

Chicago’s Morning Answer
Once again I recently had the privilege of appearing on AM 560 Chicago’s Morning Answer with hosts Dan Proft and Amy Jacobson. Days before my appearance, I was contacted by their very capable producer who told me that the subject would be my article in The American Spectator titled The Wages of Covid – Part One. Okay, COVID, got it. I pulled out my research files and prepped accordingly for the interview. So, early one morning last week, there I was in my home office with my COVID files spread before me, locked, loaded and primed to answer any and […]

Recently The American Spectator asked me to write an article about the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations’ release of an interim report titled “Failure to Warn: How Federal Health Agencies Downplayed the Risk of Myocarditis and Other Adverse Events Following COVID-19 Vaccination.” Since it sounded like a simple task, I readily agreed. But I was wrong. Once I began writing, it quickly became clear that the topic was going to require a series of analytical pieces that will keep me writing for quite some time. The first installment is set forth below. It was featured on Real Clear Politics and […]

What’s in a number? Specifically what’s in the number “86”? Recently former FBI Director James Comey posted the above picture on Instagram with the caption “Cool shell formation on my beach walk.” This elicited a furious backlash by supporters of Donald Trump, our 47th president, who claimed that “8647” is a numerical code for “Kill Trump”. Comey then published this follow-up statement on Instagram: “I posted earlier a picture of some shells I saw today on a beach walk, which I assumed were a political message. I didn’t realize some folks associate those numbers with violence. It never occurred to me but […]

The ABA’s Day of Reckoning
Yesterday The American Spectator published my latest article. Here it is. The American Bar Association’s Day of Reckoning – The American Spectator | USA News and Politics In August 1992, the American Bar Association held its annual meeting in San Francisco. It was there that, by a vote of 276 to 168, the ABA’s policy-making House of Delegates endorsed pro-choice legislation that was pending before Congress. This was a radical reversal of the ABA’s previous position of neutrality regarding abortion. Simultaneously, following a keynote speech by immediate past chair Hillary Rodham Clinton, the ABA Commission on Women in the Profession […]

I’m Back?
When I made my last post on this blog site in November 2024, my wife was in the hospital and seriously ill. Since then she has been through a series of hospitalizations and courses of outpatient treatments. Through it all I have been her round the clock private duty nurse and caretaker. All of this by way of explaining why this site has been inactive for so long. I haven’t had time to do anything other than to tend to the needs of my bride. Fortunately she has started to regain her health – at least to the point where […]

Yesterday The American Spectator published my fourth and final article about the presidential race in Pennsylvania. Immediately following publication, the polls closed and the vote counting started. And you know the rest. After overcoming baseless smears, impeachments, civil and criminal cases calculated to bankrupt, imprison and destroy him, and surviving two assassination attempts, Donald Trump was re-elected President. The man has unimaginable courage and determination. Meanwhile, as of this posting, Kamala Harris has yet to address the public. Will she concede? Will she announce a plan to thwart the certification of the election results? Will she take hostages, barricade herself […]
