Hilllary Clinton was going to win the election. That’s what all of the pols, polls and pundits said. And, if she had won, then none of the outrageous lawlessness by the hierarchy of the FBI and the Obama DOJ would have come to light.

But, against all the predictions, Trump won. This totally unexpected and catastrophic outcome left the conspirators in potential legal jeopardy should the incoming administration take charge and get to the bottom of the fake investigation of Clinton’s unsecure email server and the abuse of the FISA court to spy on Americans. To prevent that from happening, Trump had to be discredited and neutralized. In this the interests of the FBI and DOJ conspirators coincided with those of the life long politicians, lobbyists, journalists and bureaucrats who comprise the immutable and permanent Washington political establishment. Like a body fighting an infection, they have come together in the “resistance” to thwart Trump before he can do real damage to their interests, livelihoods and hold on power.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s conflict of interest riddled investigation of the President is but one part of that resistance.

All of the foregoing will be discussed in detail in future posts as the facts emerge. But for now, Victor Davis Hanson writing in National Review has offered an excellent analysis of why the hierarchy of the FBI and the DOJ were motivated to help Hillary Clinton win by breaking the law. Spoiler alert: they violated their oaths and broke the law because they correctly expected that a President Clinton would reward them for their fealty.
