Yesterday Congressman Trey Gowdy appeared on Fox News Sunday to explain the devastating significance of the Office of Inspector General’s recent report. Watch the whole fifteen minutes. It’s an inspired performance guaranteed to raise your spirits.
Gowdy pronounces James Comey utterly worthless as a prosecution witness and lays out the obvious bias behind the FBI’s exoneration of Hillary Clinton before it had completed its investigation of her private email server.
Gowdy also broke news by disclosing a Friday night showdown between the leadership of the House of Representatives (including Speaker Paul Ryan) and FBI Director Christopher Wray and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein over the stonewalling of congressional subpoenas. If the DOJ and the FBI keep hiding the evidence, Gowdy promised that there will be action this week on the floor of the House. Contempt of Congress? Impeachment of Rosenstein? Gowdy doesn’t say, but he proclaimed that Wray and Rosenstein can either be part of the “cleanup crew or the cover up crew.”
Also, KIG’s post on what’s missing from the OIG report was featured as a Special Report in The American Spectator. Be sure to check it out. As usual the readers’ comments are most interesting.
