Yesterday I was invited to be a guest on Laura Ingraham’s nationally syndicated radio show to discuss Bruce and Nellie Ohr. As a former Boy Scout, I wanted to “Be Prepared”, so I spent last night updating my information on the fabulous Ohrs’ Deep State hijinks. But this morning, when Laura’s very nice and capable producer called about two minutes before air time, she advised that there had been a change of plan. Instead of the Ohrs, the topic would be the trial of Donald Trump’s former campaign manager, Paul Manafort. Would I, she kindly asked, be comfortable discussing his predicament? Sure, I responded, why not? (I left out, “Hold my beer and listen to this.”)
The result was a stream of ad-libbed, unprepared, unrehearsed consciousness that poured out under the deft questioning of guest host John Hinderaker. It seemed to me to go alright, but judge for yourselves. Here’s the link to the broadcast audio. My interview starts at the 20:25 mark and runs for about ten minutes.
As you will hear, we discussed many topics including why the Manafort jury was taking so long to reach a verdict, White House Counsel Don McGahn’s cooperation with Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation and whether the president should submit to an interview by Team Mueller. Take a listen. If you do, you’ll understand why the Jackie Gleason picture appears above.
Hope you enjoy it.
