I have been fully involved in post production work on the soon-to-be-released documentary titled The Death of George Floyd.
Part of the process includes promoting the film before its release. To that end, I appeared yesterday on Real Talk with Roshini Rajkumar on WCCO News Talk 830 AM in Minneapolis. The host is a lawyer who has a commitment to the Constitution, due process of law and a great deal of courage. The topic was the wrongful prosecution of the former Minneapolis police officers who have been criminally charged in the death of George Floyd.
Given the lynch mob atmosphere that prevails in Minneapolis and Minnesota, I was impressed when Roshini asked me to be on her show and how forthright she was during the broadcast when she allowed me to express my view of Mr. Floyd’s death. She promoted the upcoming documentary and helped set the stage for my view that the charged police officers neither caused the death of Mr. Floyd nor did anything criminal in their interaction with him.
Roshini very kindly plugged the upcoming documentary.
Notably the show aired the day after the Minneapolis City Council renamed the two blocks near the spot where Floyd was taken into custody “George Perry Floyd, Jr. Place”.
My friends at Powerline (which is centered in Minneapolis) linked to video of the broadcast in a post titled The Floyd Case Revisited. The post also links to my American Spectator articles, this blog and audio of an earlier interview with Powerline’s John Hinderaker. You can access the post by clicking on this link.
You can access the audio only of my interview with Roshini by clicking on this link.
Roshini emailed today to say that the broadcast has gone viral on Facebook and elsewhere. So here’s hoping that the truth about George Floyd’s death may emerge.
