Today I was privileged to appear on AM560 Chicago’s Morning Answer with hosts Amy Jacobsen and Dan Proft. The topic was the trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin for allegedly killing George Floyd. As you may know, the case is now in the hands of the jury.

How can Chauvin be convicted of felony murder if he was never charged with a separate felony?
Maybe this is a quirk of Minnesota law.
Restraining Floyd in the first place cannot be considered a felony, can it?
Restraining Floyd for 3-4 minutes too long, is that the felony?
