Frank Speidel is a retired emergency room physician and, in his words, “recovering hospital administrator” who hosts The Doctor Is In, a public access television show on the Main Line Network in suburban Philadelphia. Last year, I was a guest on his show. The topics were COVID-19 and the public health authorities’ response to it. I found Dr. Speidel’s opening remarks and questions to be insightful, provocative and well-informed. For my part, I repeated for his viewers some of the information and points that I have written about in The American Spectator and on this blog. Together we laid out enough non-politically correct COVID-19 heresy to get us arrested by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Pandemic SWAT team and de-platformed by YouTube for violating its “community standards” or whatever other Orwellian euphemism our Google overlords wish to use.
I was so impressed with Dr. Speidel’s observations and on camera persona that I advised him in follow up correspondence that his show could well be titled “Masterpiece Theater for Diseases”.

Much to my surprise, you can still view our 2020 discussion by clicking on the picture below.
Happily that appearance led to an ongoing relationship with Dr. Speidel and my recent return to The Doctor Is In. This time around, I interviewed him about the current state of the pandemic and the efficacy of prophylactic and treatment measures. Once again, Dr. Speidel provided a wealth of useful information and thoughtful insights. You can view the show by clicking on the picture below.
At the very end, I ask him about his candidacy for Coroner of Chester County, Pennsylvania. What would compel such a distinguished physician and thoroughly decent man to take the plunge into the sordid world of Pennsylvania politics? Watch and find out.
