In November 2023, my wife and I contracted Covid. Although we quickly recovered, Natalie was subsequently hospitalized seven times for intractable nausea, misdiagnosed Parkinson’s disease and, in March of this year, stroke. Her doctors have speculated that some or all of these maladies may be Covid related.
In any event, following each hospitalization, she was severely debilitated and required extensive physical and occupational therapy as well as round the clock nursing care. With the exception of three weeks at a nearby nursing facility following her stroke, her care and rehabilitation have been at home.
In short, since November 2023, I have been fully occupied as her round the clock caretaker.
All of this by way of explaining the lack of activity on this website. I’ve been a bit busy.
Fortunately, Natalie is regaining her mobility and mental acuity. Although her recovery is a work in progress , I now have a bit of time to write.
So, barring any further set backs, I hope to get this website going again. Please stay tuned.
In the meantime, here are links to some appearances with my friends at Chicago’s Morning Answer that I was able to squeeze in during the past seven months.
