Netflix has released a documentary series called Waco: American Apocalypse. It deals with the U.S. government’s 51 day siege of the Mount Carmel Center ranch 13 miles northwest of Waco, Texas, where members of the Branch Davidian sect of the Seventh Day Adventist Church lived and were killed. In 1992, the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (“ATF”) received information that the Branch Davidians were stockpiling illegal firearms. When agents began their investigation, the sect’s leader, David Koresh, offered to speak with the ATF and let it inspect the firearms and their related paperwork. The ATF refused Koresh’s offer. […]
Yesterday The American Spectator published my article about the Manhattan Grand Jury’s indictment of former President Donald Trump. It has been featured by Real Clear Politics and is generating a fair amount of comment. The title of the article is The Incoherent Trump Indictment, and it is critical of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s attempt to obfuscate the nature and cause of the charges against Trump. I had originally planned to title it Trump’s Double Secret Probation since the indictment is so incomplete, insufficient and fundamentally unfair it reminded me of a scene from Animal House in which Faber College […]
The Trump Indictment
Last evening, just as soon as news of former President Trump’s indictment broke, Quin McCarthy, the very able producer of Chicago’s Morning Answer on WIND AM560, texted to invite me to appear with hosts Dan Proft and Amy Jacobson this morning. I immediately accepted even though the indictment remains under seal and I have no clue as to the theory of the prosecution’s case. Fact is, until the indictment is made public, all the on air analysis by legal experts has been just so much guesswork, speculation and bloviating. My on air appearance was more of the same. Nevertheless, it […]
Yesterday The American Spectator published my article about the predicted arrest of former President Donald Trump by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. The article was featured on Real Clear Politics and has generated a fair amount of comment. At the time of publication, the arrest was supposed to have taken place today. But it has been put on hold for reasons that are unclear. How this will ultimately play out is unknown. Meanwhile the NYPD has been placed on alert as pro and anti Trump protesters gather at the barriers that have been erected around Trump Tower. Protesters are also […]
Saint Patrick’s Day 2023
Happy Saint Patrick’s Day from the Free State of Florida. I have been very busy researching and drafting soon-to-be published articles about the United States’ involvement in the Ukraine war and the lies being promulgated by our government and the corporate media in support of that effort. This has left no time to write a proper piece in observance of this year’s Saint Patrick’s Day. So forgive me for recycling the following slightly modified version of an article which ran on this blog in 2019. Reflections on Saint Patrick’s Day The picture above is of the Great Famine Memorial in […]
The Hawley Cross
Greetings from the Free State of Florida. My wife and I arrived here two days ago and are still in the process of unpacking and getting organized. I hadn’t planned on posting anything until next week, but, when I saw Senator Josh Hawley’s cross-examination of Attorney General Merrick Garland, I decided to take a break and share with you the below video. The vast majority of Senators and Members of the House are terrible interrogators. All too often their questions are unfocused and poorly worded. Their deliveries and attempts to control the witnesses are even worse. When I watch these […]
Sleepwalking to Armageddon
Yesterday, The American Spectator published my article about the sabotage of Russia’s Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 pipelines, the war in Ukraine, and the growing risk of a state-on-state war between Russia and the United States. Here it is. Sleepwalking to Armageddon – The American Spectator | USA News and Politics George Parry On Feb. 7, 2022, as Russian troops massed on Ukraine’s border, President Joe Biden held a joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. One of the topics raised by reporters was Europe’s massive dependence on natural gas transmitted through undersea pipelines from Russia. At the time of the […]
Your FBI in War, Peace and Religion – Shutting Down the Tunnel to Rome
Yesterday The American Spectator published my article about the FBI’s Orwellian plans for dealing with what it calls “Radical Traditionalist Catholics”. It seems that an FBI whistleblower has exposed a proposal by the Bureau to plant confidential informants in the Catholic Church and to monitor activities at its “places of worship” in order to root out anti-LGBTQ and white supremacist Catholic terrorists. Yes, you read that right, and I am not making this up. Having grown up Catholic in 1950s Atlanta, I found this proposal to be a real blast from the past. Back then, the Ku Klux Klan and […]
My Brush with the NFL
In last night’s Super Bowl, the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles by scoring a field goal in the last few seconds of play. Final score: 38-35. This triggered rioting by Eagles fans in Center City Philadelphia. Of course it did. Rioting seems to be the default response hard wired into the DNA of Eagles fans regardless of the outcome. They rioted when the Eagles won the Super Bowl in 2018, and no doubt would have done the same last night if the Eagles had been victorious. Now it must be said that, as Philadelphia riots go, this one […]
Yesterday, The American Spectator published my article about the arrest and prosecution of Mark Houck by our woke FBI and Department of Justice. The below post of the article includes a video epilogue that was not included with the Spectator version. The Story of Mark Houck: Killing the Monkey to Scare the Chickens – The American Spectator | USA News and Politics George Parry The Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (FACE) “prohibits threats of force, obstruction and property damage intended to interfere with reproductive health care services.” According to the U.S. Justice Department’s website, FACE “is not about abortions” […]
Yesterday The American Spectator published my analysis of the manslaughter case against Alec Baldwin arising out of his negligently shooting and killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins during a rehearsal on a movie set in New Mexico. Also yesterday, I discussed Hutchins’ death with hosts Dan Proft and Amy Jacobson on Chicago’s Morning Answer AM 560. In that interview (video of which is posted on this blog), Proft – a very smart guy – expressed doubts about the basis for prosecuting Baldwin. Dan said that, in the context of a movie production set, Baldwin could reasonably rely on the “professionals” who were […]
Yesterday I received an email from the producer at Chicago’s Morning Answer AM 560 inviting me join hosts Dan Proft and Amy Jacobson on air today to discuss the involuntary manslaughter case against Alec Baldwin. Since it’s always a privilege and a pleasure to be on the air with Dan and Amy, I promptly accepted the invitation and began prepping for my appearance. As it turned out, before we got to the Baldwin case, Dan and Amy tossed me a couple of curve balls that required a bit of ad libbing on my part. You can see and hear the […]
Killing Ashli
Yesterday The American Spectator published my article about the death of Ashli Babbitt, who was shot and killed by a police officer during the January 6, 2021 Capitol Hill riot. Here it is. Killing Ashli – The American Spectator | USA News and Politics George Parry “Facts are stubborn things.”— John Adams According to the Biden regime and its supporters in the legacy media, the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol Hill riot resulted in the deaths of five police officers. And, even though one of these died of natural causes and four reportedly committed suicide days and even months after the riot, […]
End of the Foodfight!
Okay, Kevin McCarthy has been elected Speaker of the House. It took fifteen rounds of voting and concessions by McCarthy to gain the critical votes of his opponents in the House Freedom Caucus (“HFC”). As the week-long deadlock continued, the congressional Democrats gloated and mocked what they called the “Republicans’ inability to govern”. The corporate media deemed the standoff to be a “farce” and a “spectacle”. But to us adults who can recall the long-ago days when Congress actually debated issues and engaged in floor fights to resolve disputes, it looked exactly like how the House should function. So what […]
At a White House ceremony on June 25, 2019, President Donald Trump conferred the Congressional Medal of Honor on retired Army Staff Sergeant David Bellavia for his courageous actions during the Second Battle of Fallujah. He is the only living Iraq War combatant to have received the Medal of Honor. You can view that ceremony by clicking on the following picture. In addition to being a brave man, Bellavia is highly intelligent and articulate as evidenced by his thoughtful and inspiring speech delivered the day after the award ceremony. You can access his remarks by clicking on the below picture. […]
