Here’s my article published yesterday by The American Spectator regarding the 77th anniversary of D-Day. You can access the article with readers’ comments (behind the AmSpec‘s paywall) by clicking on this link. Under my agreement with the AmSpec, I must wait 24 hours after publication to post my work on this website. In any event, here’s the article one day late. Remembering D-Day: June 6, 1944 | The American Spectator | USA News and Politics George Parry Pictured above is my wife’s Uncle Charlie landing on Utah Beach 77 years ago. He is the soldier in the right foreground. He […]
Yesterday my friends at The American Spectator published the following article which recites a story my father shared with me just before his death in 1981. Memorial Day — A Young Mother’s Perspective | The American Spectator George Parry From my mother’s sleep I fell into the State,And I hunched in its belly till my wet fur froze.Six miles from earth, loosed from its dream of life,I woke to black flak and the nightmare fighters. When I died they washed me out of the turret with a hose.— Randall Jarrell, “The Death of the Ball Turret Gunner,” 1945 Between 1942 and 1945, […]
The Psy-Ops Triumph
Today The American Thinker published One year after the death of George Floyd, the psy-ops have triumphed by Peter Barry Chowka. You can access the article by clicking on this link. It is a thought-provoking read that includes this reference: “A worthy piece of accurate, independent, untainted analysis…is a compelling 24-minute video by George Parry, Who Killed George Floyd?” Just so. With that kind of plug, how could I not return the favor by providing you with a link to Chowka’s article? Or, for those of you who want to cut to the chase, you can access Who Killed George […]
Res Ipsa Loquitur
“Res ipsa loquitur” (Latin for “the thing speaks for itself”) is a common law doctrine pursuant to which a judge or jury can draw an inference based on the very nature of the facts presented. Here is video taken at Minneapolis’ George Floyd Memorial Square on May 25, 2021, the anniversary of Floyd’s death. For context, here’s a report aired two months ago by a Minneapolis television station concerning the activities in and around George Floyd Memorial Square. These videos speak for themselves.
Leaving Nothing to Chance
Yesterday my friends at The American Spectator published my article about the retaliation against expert witnesses for the defense in the recently concluded trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin. You can access it with readers’ comments behind the AmSpec paywall here, or read it below. Bombshell Claim: Medical Examiners Bullied Over Floyd’s Cause of Death | The American Spectator | USA News and Politics George Parry Last week, counsel for Tou Thao, one of the former Minneapolis police officers charged in the death of George Floyd, filed an explosive motion for sanctions against the prosecution that alleges, among other […]
The Great Pretender
To those of you who have written inquiring after my health and/or whereabouts, I’m alive and well and appreciate your concern. I have been working on a series of articles regarding the 2020 presidential election. The project has turned into a long, slow marshaling of the facts that spell out how, despite Donald Trump’s historic landslide victory, the Biden Regime now controls the executive branch. The process of analyzing the evidence has been, to put it mildly, depressing. Which is why I was so relieved last night to receive the below short video from one of my septuagenarian juvenile delinquent […]
Yesterday The American Spectator published my analysis of Derek Chauvin’s trial. You can access it on the AmSpec paywall protected website by clicking on this link, or you can read it (minus reader comments) below. Derek Chauvin’s Slow-Motion Guilty Plea | The American Spectator | USA News and Politics George Parry The most difficult subjects can be explained to the most slow-witted man if he has not formed any idea of them already; but the simplest thing cannot be made clear to the most intelligent man if he is firmly persuaded that he knows already, without a shadow of doubt, what is laid […]
Today I was privileged to appear on AM560 Chicago’s Morning Answer with hosts Amy Jacobsen and Dan Proft. The topic was the trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin for allegedly killing George Floyd. As you may know, the case is now in the hands of the jury. To watch the interview, click on this link. As for the picture above, it is from the movie adaptation of Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird. I offer it as a metaphorical depiction of what is happening to Chauvin. The black guy in the overalls represents Chauvin.
Real Talk With Roshini
Last Friday, my wife and I drove several hours north to receive our second Moderna vaccine jabs at separate Publix Pharmacies in the Orlando area. In scheduling these appointments last month through the Publix website, we had to take what we could get or wait for a chance at something closer to our place in Southwest Florida. Our first jabs were in February, and on Friday we returned to the same pharmacies to finish the process. According to media reports, many persons receiving their second vaccine doses have had unpleasant reactions. We didn’t want to make the long drive up […]
A Nation Once Again
From 1950 to 1958 I did eight years as an inmate at CCF (Catholic Correctional Facility) Christ the King School in Atlanta. The place was run by the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart, formidable and stern Brides of Christ who had come from “up North” to educate us Southern heathens in the ways of Holy Mother Church. Their teaching methods were direct, uncompromising and physical. Although a fair number of my friends were of Irish descent, Ireland – if we thought about it at all – was just some place far away that was supposed to have leprechauns guarding […]
A few days ago, the prosecution in Minnesota v. Derek Chauvin filed its Memorandum of Law in Opposition to Defendant’s Motions in Limine (linked to here). To put this into context and plain English, Chauvin’s defense counsel has moved to preclude the prosecution from presenting at trial certain proffered evidence, and, by its memorandum of law, the prosecution is arguing why the challenged evidence is relevant and material. By email the estimable Scott Johnson of Powerline forwarded a link to the prosecution’s memorandum of law and asked for my thoughts. That email arrived around 6:00 PM. Before replying, I decided to engage in […]
Today I was privileged to appear on AM560 Chicago’s Morning Answer with hosts Amy Jacobsen and Dan Proft. The topic was the upcoming trial of former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin for allegedly killing George Floyd. As usual, Amy and Dan came prepared. They were well-informed and asked good and challenging questions. To watch the interview, click on the picture below. As for the picture above, it is from the movie adaptation of Harper Lee’s evocative novel To Kill a Mockingbird. I offer it as a metaphorical depiction of what is about to happen to Derek Chauvin if he’s forced […]
Countdown to a Lynching
Yesterday, The American Spectator published my article about the upcoming trial of former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin (pictured above). You can access the article on the AmSpec site by clicking on this link. Or you can read the article here: Derek Chauvin’s Trial: Countdown to a Kangaroo Court | The American Spectator | USA News and Politics George Parry Mob law does not become due process of law by securing the assent of a terrorized jury. – Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, dissent in the appeal of Leo Frank, April 19, 1915 On March 8, 2021, jury selection will begin […]
A Philadelphia Murder
Ralph Cipriano is a former Philadelphia Inquirer reporter who publishes Big Trial, an excellent blog that covers, among other topics, Philadelphia’s criminal justice system. He’s knowledgeable, a good writer and has excellent sources who provide him with a seemingly endless flow of inside information about Philadelphia officialdom’s descent into progressive madness. Ralph’s blog provides a valuable service to the community since his former employer, the Philadelphia Inquirer, has for the most part turned a blind eye to the actions of Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner (pictured above), a criminal defense lawyer who was elected with the massive financial backing of […]
Return to the New Normal
In case you believe that the Democrats’ post-Trump “return to normalcy” is to be taken seriously, watch this short video of Dr. Rachel Levine’s testimony today before the U.S. Senate. Levine is the former Pennsylvania Secretary of Health who has been nominated by the Biden Regime to be the Assistant U.S. Secretary of Health. According to USA Today, Levine is on track to make identity politics history as the first transgender federal official to be confirmed by the Senate. As her robotic and evasive answers make clear, however, Levine apparently can’t bring herself to oppose genital mutilation of minors if […]
