Yesterday, The American Spectator published the fifth in my series of articles analyzing the federal grand jury indictment of lawyer Michael Sussmann. The article was featured by Real Clear Politics and made its “most read” list. Like its predecessors, it has gone viral. Overall the series has generated a great deal of interest and comment. I have received emails from readers advancing theories and investigative tips all of which are much appreciated. It’s clear that that the Trump-Russia collusion smear is still controversial and of interest to a great number of people. Thursday my wife and I will attend The […]
Over many years I have gained experience appearing on radio and television. For almost a decade I was the on-air legal analyst at KYW-TV which, back in the 1980s and early 1990s, was the NBC affiliate in Philadelphia. As an on-air newsroom lawyer, I was sort of a pioneer. This was before the O.J. Simpson murder case changed the television landscape with the addition of wall-to-wall lawyers (mostly law professors who had never tried a case) authoritatively pontificating on each and every detail of the trial. To hear them tell it, every day’s courtroom development in the O.J. case – […]
Here’s the latest installment of my John Durham series published by The American Spectator. Like the previous articles, this one made Real Clear Politic‘s “Most Read” list and has gone viral. Later today I will be a guest on Chicago’s Morning Answer AM560 to discuss the Durham investigation. When I receive the audio download, I will post it on Knowledge is Good. In the meantime, get out your Ovaltine secret decoder, sit back and enjoy this latest cliff-hanger episode of “John Durham Blows Up Washington”. Note: For those of you who never had the privilege of growing up in the […]
It seems that my series of articles regarding John Durham’s investigation of the Trump-Russia collusion hoax is gaining traction nationwide. The third article (below) made Real Clear Politics’ “Most Read” list and was featured on Powerline. Like the second article, it has gone viral. The articles have been based on a careful reading of the federal grand jury indictment of lawyer Michael Sussmann. Which is why I got a chuckle when several subscribers to this blog brought to my attention this reader comment on The American Spectator website: “These articles by Parry make me wonder if he is working in cooperation with […]
Yesterday, The American Spectator published the second in my series of articles analyzing the contents of Special Counsel John Durham’s indictment of prominent Democrat lawyer Michael Sussmann. It was picked up by Real Clear Politics and is on its “Most Read” list. Apparently, it has “gone viral”. That, of course, is quite gratifying as are some of the emails and readers’ comments that I have received. For example, “Marvin” shared his heartfelt assessment of the article in this email: LOL, This is satire, right? Durham’s “VAST” conspiracy? People are literally guffawing over this – one flimsy POS charge and somehow […]
Yesterday The American Spectator published the first in my series of articles about Special Counsel John Durham’s investigation of the origins of the Trump-Russia collusion hoax. The series will explore the scope and impact of the conspiracy set forth in Durham’s indictment of Democrat lawyer Michael Sussmann who, in conjunction with a host of Democrat operatives and Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign, was instrumental in fabricating the most successful and destructive political smear in American history. In writing the series, I have had to re-acquaint myself with cabinets full of my research regarding the fake Steele dossier, FBI Director James Comey’s […]
Frank Speidel is a retired emergency room physician and, in his words, “recovering hospital administrator” who hosts The Doctor Is In, a public access television show on the Main Line Network in suburban Philadelphia. Last year, I was a guest on his show. The topics were COVID-19 and the public health authorities’ response to it. I found Dr. Speidel’s opening remarks and questions to be insightful, provocative and well-informed. For my part, I repeated for his viewers some of the information and points that I have written about in The American Spectator and on this blog. Together we laid […]
Speaking Truth to Power
Yesterday The American Spectator published my article about Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller, USMC. The article is set forth below along with two updates. A Courageous Marine Speaks | The American Spectator | USA News and Politics George Parry Last evening, Marine Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller put his military career and livelihood on the line by posting a powerful and moving Facebook video in which he poses inconvenient questions about the mess in Afghanistan. Scheller, a 17-year Marine infantry veteran, spoke out after suicide bombers struck at the Hamid Karzai International Airport. In his heartfelt video, he speaks of his “growing discontent and […]
Yesterday The American Spectator published my analysis of the mess in Afghanistan. The article is set forth below. But, before you read it, here are a couple of caveats. First, the article deals with military matters of which I have no particular knowledge or expertise. But, as you will see, I lean heavily on the assessment of the situation by Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton for whom I have tremendous respect. After graduating from Harvard College (1998) and Harvard Law School (2002), Cotton clerked for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and then went into private practice as an associate […]
Yesterday The American Spectator published my article about Andrew Cuomo’s resignation. One reader pointed out that Cuomo “has only stated that he would resign. Actual resignation hasn’t happened. Expect a 13th day blitz with negative information about the next two people in line. Worked in Virginia…” Maybe so. But for now it looks like Cuomo’s last day on the job will be August 24, 2021. We shall see. In the author’s note below, there is a link to The Behavior Panel‘s YouTube analysis of Cuomo’s televised response to the sexual harassment allegations. The show’s hosts are body language experts who analyze […]
“That Boy Is A P-I-G Pig!”
Since reading the New York Attorney General’s 165 page report alleging that Governor Andrew Cuomo had sexually harassed women, I keep thinking about the cafeteria scene in the movie Animal House. You can watch it by clicking on this picture: Okay, I get it. The scene has nothing to do with sexual harassment, but Bab Jensen’s description of Bluto Blutarsky as “gross” and a “P-I-G pig” pretty well sums up Cuomo’s alleged behavior, albeit in a different context. I’m working on an article about Cuomo’s resignation and his prospects for being sued civilly and prosecuted criminally. But my inner juvenile delinquent […]
Yesterday The American Spectator published my take on the January 6, 2021 Capitol Hill riot and its aftermath. In the copy that I submitted for publication, the first sentence did not contain the word “President” before Joe Biden’s name. That was added by the editors. Anyhow, here’s the article. Hope you enjoy it. The Death of Brian Sicknick — Exploiting Tragedy for Political Gain | The American Spectator | USA News and Politics George Parry In his State of the Union address, President Joe Biden called the January 6, 2021 riot at the Capitol “the worst attack on our democracy […]
A Tale of Two Bills
Here’s my latest article which was published yesterday by The American Spectator. A Tale of Two Bills: Barr v. McSwain | The American Spectator | USA News and Politics George Parry In September 2019, I was privileged to attend a private dinner hosted by The American Spectator at Washington’s Capitol Hill Club. In attendance were approximately 30 distinguished journalists, editors, commentators, and political insiders. The guest of honor was Attorney General William Barr. The tables were arranged in an inward-facing rectangle. As we ate dinner, Barr fielded questions. The ground rules forbade public disclosure of his answers. This meeting was […]
The Cosby Case
Yesterday, The American Spectator published my article explaining why the Pennsylvania Supreme Court overturned the conviction of comedian Bill Cosby. While other articles on the subject have summarized the basics, I decided to spell out in detail how the case was investigated and prosecuted so that you can better comprehend the court’s rationale. The Cosby Case — Anatomy of a Legal Trainwreck | The American Spectator | USA News and Politics George Parry When comedian Bill Cosby was imprisoned as a “sexually violent predator,” women’s rights activists and the corporate news media declared it a signal victory and turning point […]
